Vandre's 100% wool baseball cap is made with Pure Fabrics, inside and out. A 16 oz, 100% wool exterior, with a 100% Egyptian cotton lining in the two front panels. Making it in America gives me full control over what matters most: the exact fabrics, the quality of every hat, and the tailored finishes.

The wool. This is a 16 oz, 100% wool, the type usually found in winter jackets and sport coats. Its fibers are spun long, which makes it softer than most wool and close to the feel of cashmere. It's warm, breathable and durable. The weight helps it hold its shape, and the wool resists wrinkles and odor and molds to your head the more you wear it.
The lining. The inside of the two front panels is finished with a breathable 100% Egyptian cotton, one of the finest cottons in the world. It adds a thin, soft layer right where the hat meets your forehead, protecting both your head and the cap itself. The four back panels are left unlined, which keeps the hat breathable.
The season. This hat is made for fall and winter. It's comfortable enough to keep on indoors, so you're not pulling it off the moment you step inside. When it really turns cold, pair it with a set of earmuffs.
The two front panels are structured to hold a clean, refined line. It's finished with a curved brim, a 100% black leather strap, and a brushed nickel closure and clasp. Pass-throughs tuck the excess strap neatly back inside the hat for a clean silhouette. On the back, a single small embroidered V is the only branding on the hat.
Mid-profile construction with our perfected fit, ideal for average and larger head sizes. One size fits most, with the 100% leather adjustable strap dialing in a secure, custom fit.
Spot clean as needed with cool water and a mild detergent, then reshape and hang dry. The wool can handle getting wet. If you get caught in rain or snow, hang it to dry and never wring it out. Do not use hot water, do not use the washing machine, and do not use the dryer.
Your hat arrives with a 100% cotton storage bag. Use it to keep the hat clean between wears, or for whatever else you choose to store in it.
Why It's Made in America
When I started building Vandre, I had one idea: to reimagine the baseball cap using the highest quality fabrics, with the eye and the details of fine men's suiting. From the very beginning that meant unique touches with minimalist branding and maximum quality.
I wanted to make it in the United States from day one. Almost every American factory turned me away. The minimum orders were far too large for a brand that didn't yet exist, most wouldn't work with the fabrics I required, and the few samples I got back were nowhere near the quality I expected. Rather than compromise, I built Vandre with a small, trusted group of overseas makers and used that time to perfect the product: the profile, the fit, the construction, and every last detail.
I stayed in touch with the handful of hat manufacturers still operating in this country. One of them, a hat manufacturer in New York, became the only maker capable of producing a hat to my exact specifications and standard.
