This is Vandre's 100% cotton baseball cap, 100% organic cotton outside and 100% Egyptian cotton lined two front panels. Producing our premium headwear in America gives me full control over the things that matter most: the exact fabrics I use, the quality of every build, and how quickly it reaches you. It is the culmination of everything I have learned about headwear.

A lightweight 100% organic cotton exterior

The exterior is a lightweight 7 oz, 100% organic cotton. Most hats never tell you the weight, but it matters. At 7 oz, this fabric is light and breathable, comfortable in warm weather and easy to wear year round. It is a durable, eco-friendly cotton, organic from seed to shelf, grown without herbicides or pesticides and finished with eco-friendly dyes. Better for you, and better for the planet.

A high-end 100% Egyptian cotton lining, where it counts

Only the two front panels are lined, and that is on purpose. The inside of those two panels is finished with a lightweight, breathable 100% Egyptian cotton, one of the finest cottons in the world. It adds a thin, soft layer right where the hat meets your forehead, protecting both your head and the cap itself. The four back panels are left unlined, which keeps the hat light and breathable.

Designed with intention

The profile of the hat (its shape and fit) took a long time to perfect overseas and replicate here with our USA production. The semi-structured two front panels are inspired by the soft shoulder of a Neapolitan suit jacket, structured enough to hold a clean, refined line and soft enough to feel natural and never stiff. It is finished with a curved brim, a 100% leather strap, and brass and metal press closures, with pass-throughs that tuck the excess strap neatly back inside the hat for a clean silhouette.

Eight years in the making

This hat took me eight years to make, and the story is the reason it exists. When I started building Vandre in 2018, I had one idea: to reimagine the baseball cap using the highest quality fabrics, with the eye and the details of fine men's suiting. From the very beginning that meant unique touches with minimalist branding and maximum quality.

I wanted to make it in the United States from day one. It did not go the way I hoped. I was not even launched yet, and almost every American factory turned me away. The minimum orders were far too large for a brand that did not yet exist, most would not work with the outside fabrics I required for use and the few samples I managed to get back were nowhere near the quality I expected. So I made a decision that shaped the next several years. Rather than compromise, I built Vandre with a small, trusted group of overseas makers, and I used that time to perfect the product: the profile, the fit, the construction, and every last detail, refined over years until they were exactly right.

I stayed in touch with the handful of hat manufacturers still operating in this country, checking in as the years passed. Recently, one of them, a hat manufacturer in New York, became the only maker capable of producing a hat to my exact specifications and standard. This line is the culmination of the entire journey to get here.

Vandre is a team of one. I am Ben, also known as Dapper Professional, and after years of helping to teach men how to dress with intention to a community of more than 100,000, I set out to build the headwear I always wished existed. I design every hat, source every fabric, and personally handle your order from the moment you place it. I pack it, I ship it, and if you ever have a question, the person who answers is me.
