Made in USA 100% Organic Cotton Baseball Hat Black
Designed in Chicago. Made in the USA. Eight years in the making.
This is a pure cotton baseball cap, 100% cotton inside and out, designed by me in Chicago and handcrafted in New York. Producing it here gives me control over the things that matter most: the exact fabrics I use, the quality of every build, and how quickly it reaches you. It is the culmination of everything I have learned about headwear.
- Made in the USA. Designed in Chicago, handcrafted in New York.

- Tailored details. A shape inspired by the soft shoulder of a Neapolitan suit, a curved brim, a 100% leather strap, and brass press closures.
Pure Fabrics, inside and out
This is a pure cotton hat, and I want to be clear about what that means. Pure means 100%, never a blend. The exterior is 100% organic cotton. The two front panels are lined with 100% Egyptian cotton. The sweatband is 100% cotton. Every fabric that touches your head is 100% cotton, and even the storage bag it comes in is 100% cotton. There is a lot of vague marketing out there, so I will say it plainly: nothing here is a cotton blend.
A lightweight 100% organic cotton exterior
The exterior is a lightweight 7 oz, 100% organic cotton. Most hats never tell you the weight, but it matters. At 7 oz, this fabric is on the lighter side, which makes it my pick for warmer weather. It is a durable, eco-friendly cotton, organic from seed to shelf, grown without herbicides or pesticides and finished with eco-friendly dyes. Better for you, and better for the planet.
A high-end 100% Egyptian cotton lining, where it counts
Only the two front panels are lined, and that is on purpose. The inside of those two panels is finished with a lightweight, breathable 100% Egyptian cotton, one of the finest cottons in the world. It adds a thin, soft layer right where the hat meets your forehead, protecting both your head and the cap itself. The four back panels are left unlined, which keeps the hat light and breathable, exactly what you want in warmer weather. It is a deliberate balance: comfort and structure up front, airflow throughout.
Designed with intention
The shape is the part I am most proud of, and the part that took the longest to perfect. The semi-structured two front panels are inspired by the soft shoulder of a Neapolitan suit jacket, structured enough to hold a clean, refined line and soft enough to feel natural and never stiff. It is finished with a curved brim, a 100% leather strap, and brass and metal press closures, with pass-throughs that tuck the excess strap neatly back inside the hat for a clean silhouette.
Fit and sizing
Mid-profile construction with our perfected fit, ideal for average and larger head sizes. One size fits most, with the 100% leather adjustable strap dialing in a secure, custom fit.
What's included
Your cap arrives with a 100% cotton storage bag, in keeping with the Pure Fabrics philosophy, perfect for keeping it clean between wears or for whatever else you choose.
Care
Spot clean as needed, then reshape and air dry. Store it in the included cotton bag to keep it fresh and dust-free between wears.
Eight years in the making
This hat took me eight years to make, and the story is the reason it exists. When I started building Vandre in 2018, I had one idea: to reimagine the baseball cap using the highest quality fabrics, with the eye and the details of fine men's suiting. From the very beginning that meant unique touches most caps never have, like the semi-structured two front panels that are still our signature today. I wanted to make it in the United States from day one.
It did not go the way I hoped. I was not even launched yet, and almost every American factory turned me away. The minimum orders were far too large for a brand that did not yet exist, most would not work with the outside fabrics I insisted on using, and the few samples I managed to get back were nowhere near the quality I demanded. So I made a decision that shaped the next several years. Rather than compromise, I built Vandre with a small, trusted group of overseas makers, and I used that time to perfect the product: the profile, the fit, the construction, and every last detail, refined over years until they were exactly right.
The whole time, I never stopped trying to bring production home. I stayed in touch with the handful of hat manufacturers still operating in this country, checking in as the years passed. Recently, one of them, a hat manufacturer in New York, finally became the only maker capable of producing a hat to my exact specifications and standard. This line is the culmination of all of it: everything I learned and perfected over eight years with overseas makers, now applied and made here at home, with one advancement I had always wanted, a pure cotton interior.
